Enrolling at our school is an important and exciting process.

Sunnybank State School is an enrolment managed school. This means that there are strict criteria that need to be met to gain a place at the school. To check your eligibility, go to the Government Catchment Map and type in Sunnybank State School to ensure you live in our catchment area.

There are four easy steps that you need to complete for enrolment.

1. The Enrolment Application

A separate application form must be completed for each enrolling child.

Complete the following forms:

Application for Student Enrolment form

Enrolment Agreement forms

State School Consent form

Once these forms are completed, please phone the school office on (07) 3452 4888 to make an enrolment meeting with the Principal or Deputy Principal.

2. The Enrolment Interview

Certain documents must be available for presentation at the interview. Without the correct documents the enrolment cannot proceed. Please bring the following items to the enrolment interview.

  • You and the child/ren applying for enrolment
  • Each child's birth certificate
  • A current passport and visa required for any child born overseas
  • Each child's most recent student report card
  • At the enrolment meeting we will:
  • Discuss the details on your enrolment application
  • Orgainise uniforms, books and any fees payable
  • Complete an Enrolment Agreement.

3. Important policies to read, sign and bring to the meeting with Principal.

4. Out of Catchment Enrolments

Families who reside outside of the school catchment areas will be able to submit an online Expression of Interest (EOI) to enrol their child at our school.  The date and time that the EOI is submitted will be recorded in our data base in the order that the EOI is received.
