ANZAC Day Sunnybank RSL District March & Commemoration Service

ANZAC DAY MARCH - SUNNYBANK RSL SUB-BRANCH
It is an ANZAC Day tradition for our Principal and Student Leaders to participate in the ANZAC Day March hosted by the Sunnybank RSL Sub-branch on Thursday morning 25 April.  Other students are welcome to join with them in the march. Students attending the march must wear school uniform and a hat and meet at Sunnybank High School oval at 7.30am, entering via the Boorman Street entrance.
 
 
Details are as follows:
 
7.40am - March participants meet and form up at the Sunnybank State High School oval (different to previous years)
 
8.00am - The March commences
 
8.30am - The Commemoration Service commences at the RSL District War Memorial in Gager Street, Sunnybank
 
9.30am - Service concludes
 

ANZAC Day is the anniversary of the landing of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps at Gallipoli during World War I in 1915.

The Australian and New Zealander soldiers were part of an Allied expedition that set out to capture the Gallipoli Peninsula.
